Plot summary

When Jesse is dumped right before the holidays by her boyfriend, Shawn, his parents convince her to still spend Christmas with them, and Shawn's handsome cousin, while Shawn is away.

Honest to god, fucking awful. I really wanted

Honest to god, fucking awful. I really wanted to watch this all the way through and give it a fair review but it's just so bad, I couldn't bear it. Not one single pair of actors in this movie has chemistry with one another, the script is horrendous, Justin Long was acting in a western while everyone else was in Hallmark, whoever styled Brittany Snow is going to hell and most of the sex jokes in the 46 minutes I watched landed as well as sexual harassment can. MM, flip it around, Wild West (Productions).

Alex Moffat is hilarious

I came for Justin Long but stayed for Alex Moffat. He was hilarious in this movie. He made me crack up. I could tell he was ad-libbing. Brittany was cute as well. And the mom.

Otherwise this movie was pretty lame. Weird sex jokes mixed in with cute comedy. They just don't make good Christmas movies anymore, like The Holiday or Family Stone. This one might have been trying to copy Just Friend's humour but couldn't pull it off.

Anyway I'm still glad I watched it. It has a legit cast and that's what brought me to it. These days the Christmas movies (on Hallmark) have no names.

This one was not as cheesy as those.
