Very good acting, cute storyline, but weak script at key moments

As some other reviewers noted, the storyline moved along well. While the bakery theme is not too far off the usual themes, the perfunctory "conflict" moment felt natural and not contrived contrived. I find Christopher Russell to almost always deliver a likable, charming character and manages to avoid coming off looking like the bumbling idiot in front of the girl which is such a staple of this Hallmark type genre. The romantic chemistry was also there, although Laura Osmes actually delivered that better than Russell. But, there were weak moments....why didn't he kiss her upon leaving after the family dinner? When she says 'I love you' at the end, why didn't he actually say that too? I sometimes wonder if these HM screenplay writers have any firsthand knowledge of how a normal male reacts under feelings of sexual attraction? One thing we don't do is just stand there, not saying or doing anything.

Cute Christmas Movie

Both of the main characters are excellent actors. I enjoyed seeing them on the Hallmark Channel when they were acting in those movies. Now that they are on the Great American channel, these Christmas movies are feel good and I really enjoy watching them. I look forward to the Christmas movies in July, that is my favorite. But, they tend to be all the same. Girl comes home with an assignment or recently fired from their job. Runs into a man or sees ex-boyfriend. Storylines need to change up some. Get creative. I do love the traditional relationships so I will continue to watch. I do recommend everyone tuning in to this movie.
