So bad in every way, terrible script, wooden

So bad in every way, terrible script, wooden characters schmaltzy plot. An ignorant representation of England with Scottish accents and bagpipes, Supposed to be Christmas but trees in full leaf and summer flowers everywhere. Impossible plot as in no way would a modern hotel be permitted on the site of this manor house with or without a Norman arch. Must be directed at an American audience but I dont believe even the most naive of these would think this rubbish an accurate picture of the UK Nothin to redeem it

This film is much bettr than other reviews

This film is much bettr than other reviews suggest. Yes, it’s hokum, but it’s enjoyable hokum, mixing some amusing non sequiturs (is it set in Scotland or England?), a mystery story including clues, a ‘greedy corporation vs the little people’ storyline and a stunning house. But the best thing by far is Maria Menounos who is a very natural actor and sparkles in the main role. She is hugely watchable, partly because of her immense beauty and partly because of her relaxed, unshowy acting style. She steals every scene. I would advise people to give it a go, watch it with a glass of wine in hand and just go with the flow.

This is absolutely awful, it feels like it's been written by AI. The acting wasn't *bad* per day, they did what they could. But some of the accents were TRULY awful. This was a bad Christmas movie. The worst.
