Plot summary

A reticent young photographer strives to find a normal life working a dead-end job in a mall portrait studio and volunteering as a clean water activist for developing countries. But his dreams are threatened and his mysterious history begins to unravel when an unexpected romance and personal tragedy plunge him into a fight for survival.

I can't remember the last time I was

I can't remember the last time I was left this moved by a movie. Contemplative, sincere, uncomfortably honest, tragic, healing. A powerful film about perseverance and faith no matter the cards you hold. It wakes you to the self-inflicted paralysis (or triumph) of your own will - without room for excuse. The melancholic pick me up I didn't know I needed. One of my new all-time favourites. Watch it! ? "I don't know why some people suffer drought longer than others, but the rain always comes eventually. And when it does, the desperate, barren, thirsty earth quenches itself in a way that the lush, green earth could never imagine or understand. And I have to live in this tension because that is where the fire is."
