I watched Cat Person mainly because I had

I watched Cat Person mainly because I had just seen Nicholas Braun (Greg from Succession) on Broadway and liked him in Succession. The movie itself was interesting enough, but there were a lot of cringe moments. I found Margot’s decision-making really frustrating and her best friend was obnoxious and controlling. The film does play with your assumptions about what’s really going on without making it obvious.

I read several reviews of the film before

I read several reviews of the film before actually watching it, and as most seemed unfavourable I almost turned it off. However, as there were a few positive reviews I decided to stay with it. It made me feel uncomfortable watching how the older, obviously inexperienced man, kissed the girl and then awkwardly had sex. Nevertheless, I think it says a lot about modern dating. The performances of the main characters were very good and relatable both from the male and female perspectives. It’s not a masterpiece, but I think it’s definitely worth a watch.

It’s a good movie in the beginning, but

It’s a good movie in the beginning, but the ending was frustrating to watch. It shows the dangers of “internet feminism”, prejudice and also the anxiety women sometimes face because of how femicide is rampant. The main character beside being influenced by her friend lets her mind paint a bad picture of an otherwise okay man. She ruined both their lives(and more the man who lost his job & house while her life went back to normal after the ordeal) by always putting herself in a position she’d not be in if she really cared for her safety that much, she and her friend were so ANNOYING the last half of the film my goodness, no rational thoughts just pure stupidity, overreaction and anxiety.
