Plot summary

Artist Steve Rogers is nearly murdered by spies, seeking his late father's national secrets. He is saved during surgery via a secret formula; this serum not only heals him but also gives him fantastic strength and lightning reflexes. To help solve the mystery behind his father’s murder and bring those guilty to justice, a government agency equips him with a special motorcycle loaded with gadgets and an indestructible shield. Now armed, he battles against the nation's enemies as the Sentinel of Liberty, Captain America.

Filme mais ou menos, o roteiro é mais ou menos, o filme não tem muita cenas relevantes, mas tem umas cenas bacaninhas de ação como a cena do helicóptero perseguindo o capitão América e outras cenas não tão relevantes, um filme que não tem cenas tão boas, mas não é um filme ruim.

Watching the 1979 "Captain America" is like witnessing

Watching the 1979 "Captain America" is like witnessing a slow-motion train wreck, but less thrilling. The backstory change? A travesty! Gone is the soldier out of time; instead, we get a dull drifter. And don’t get me started on the costume: a glorified motorcycle helmet and a laughably transparent shield. The acting? Painfully wooden. It’s clear the budget was non-existent—special effects look like they were done in a high school drama class. The pacing drags like honey, with an underdeveloped script and characters flatter than cardboard cutouts. Expect lots of talking and barely any action. It's bad—really bad. I’d only recommend this to die-hard Marvel fans who, like me, need to see everything, even the disasters. Save yourself the disappointment and re-watch the 2011 "Captain America" instead.
