Plot summary

A group of carpet fitters are sent on a job to an old Country house in the middle of nowhere. However they soon discover it's a trap set up by the savage, cannibalistic family, The Hannings. The carpet fitters are forced to fight for their lives or risk ending up being the evenings dinner. Unfortunately they are not quite your typical heroes!

I was hoping for a funny splatter comedy

I was hoping for a funny splatter comedy, and to some extent, 'Cannibals and Carpet Fitters' fits the bill, but it is a bit dark for a comedy, and too absurd for a horror flick. Points for making the killing fairly unpredictable, but this film is a bit of a downer.

A thoroughly entertaining and memorable British indie horror

A thoroughly entertaining and memorable British indie horror with some comedy to boot. It is beautifully shot, great sounding and excellently acted. My only minor gripe was that it felt like it was written in 2005 and only just got made in 2017 without altering the script. It's not as funny as Shaun of the Dead (2004), it's more like Doghouse (2009), Severance (2006) and The Cottage (2008) where there is comedy but it's more about the horror and the entertaining characters.

Funny little British gorefest. Is it a good

Funny little British gorefest. Is it a good movie. No not necessarily. That said it was fun some good cheap laughs. Lots of practical effects and real horror show Gore. Plus the British countryside slice of Life. Is fun and I can admit I have never seen a movie about carpet layers.
