Plot summary

This film is begging to be seen back to back with Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown. It is exhilarating to watch Carmen Maura still misbehaving after all these years, but now with a considerably greater grip on herself. As Maria Angeles, she is not to be messed with.

Carmen Maura is amazing. It's hard not to

Carmen Maura is amazing. It's hard not to fall in love with the character. The storyline bounces you around from joy to heartache but is never mundane or predictable. There is almost a fairy tale quality to it. The only weakness is 'unanswered questions'.
