Sellers was certainly a comedic icon, but this movie seemed extremely long, tediously long. The scenes in Italy were enjoyable, but the screenplay, not so much.

How could Sellers stoop so low to agree

How could Sellers stoop so low to agree to appear in this garbage? Yet ironically, his ridiculous penchant for silly accents and dressing up in silly clothes only serves him well to fit in with this chaotic nonsense that leaves you cringing at the lame, terrible jokes. Britt Ekland, Seller's real-life Swedish love squeeze, gets in on the act, pretending to be Italian while Victor Mature's mask like face stays pretty much the same throughout the film with his performance so wooden he probably got splinters. It's one of those productions you always regret watching when morning comes around.

BINGOLI!! One of my favorite Peter Sellers movies

BINGOLI!! One of my favorite Peter Sellers movies. I watch it just about every time I see it on my cable listing. Peter Sellers is, of course, perfect as Aldo Venucci. Victor Mature does a wonderful self deprecating performance. Aldo's cohorts reminded me of the fumbling, bumbling mafioso from " The gang who couldn't shoot straight" novel. Also found the soundtrack very engaging. If you are a Sellers fan and haven't seen it yet, give it a look see.
