Plot summary

The next season of Buzz House is the most ambitious yet. Selly has prepared many surprises for the participants: secret competitors, an isolated villa in the forest that can only be reached by boat and a costumed employee, set to scare them, to have a thrilling exit. Everything is planned in detail. What's not in the plan, though, is for a real psychopath to show up, kill the "scary" employee, take his costume and terrorize our competitors for real. Do rivalries still matter when you're being run over with an axe? Do friendships still matter when you have to risk your life for them? Who will manage to escape and how?

Watchable, but somewhat generic horror comedy...

Stumbling upon the 2024 Romanian horror comedy "Buzz House: The Movie" by sheer chance here in 2025, and never having heard about it, of course I opted to watch the movie. I am, after all, a fan of all things horror. And since I had never seen a single Romanian movie before, this would be the perfect opportunity to do so.I literally had no idea what I was in for here, so writer Radu Alexandru and director Florin Babei had every possibility to entertain and impress me.The storyline was pretty straight forward, though it was at the same time also a rather generic young adults in a cabin in a remote forest and terrorized by a deranged mass murderer. In this case, the murderer was wearing some odd furry costume. As for the character gallery in the movie, well it was a pretty run-of-the-mill type of character gallery in terms of movies of this sort goes. However, it was painfully difficult to take the performers with those insanely long finger nails seriously, as it looked so stupid.Given the fact that I have zero exposure to the Romanian cinema, then I was not familiar with a single actor or actress on the cast list. Not that it was a bad thing, because I do enjoy watching unfamiliar and new talents on the screen. The acting performances in the movie were fair. While "Buzz House: The Movie" is a watchable movie, it is hardly a movie that I would recommend you to go out of your way in order to get to watch. Nor is it a movie that I will ever watch a second time.My rating of director Florin Babei's 2024 movie "Buzz House: The Movie" lands on a four out of ten star.

Buzz House was bad

It was a BAD BAD movie. I thought this movie was just made for the money. It is some popular influencers from Romania in their so called "cast" who do a terrible job acting.even a 10 year old boy could honestly do better. The plot was VERY predictable and the killers. Everything was rushed and it was such an uninspired film. I think this movie does not represent the Romanian cinematography at all because I have seen some great Romanian films and shows. This movie was clearly made for underage children. Also,it's classified as horror but it wasn't even close to being scary and it's also comedy and I barely had any laughs. In conclusion this movie is bad and I don't recommend it.
