If you knew nothing about the writer, this

If you knew nothing about the writer, this gives you a sampler to see whether he's worth reading for you or not. He was definitely funny, progressive, and through his own admission, wrestled with his inner demons. Lots of crazy tragedy and obviously poor choices. I can tell that what made him resonate with readers was his ability to not hold onto feelings of guilt for his lifestyle and it gave people permission to have alternative lifestyles of their own.

Insightful documentary from the mouth of the man

Insightful documentary from the mouth of the man himself. A ton of interviews and clips of Burroughs being Burroughs, great little anecdotes of his friendships and some really raw footage of Burroughs in his element- aka fucked up and messing with guns.
