2017 documentary about Sleaford Mods, a Nottingham duo who have been called "the angriest band in Britain" as a result of their brutally honest lyrics. The film follows former chicken factory worker Jason Williamson and his bandmate, beatmaker Andrew Fearn, as they challenge the complacency, cruelty and mediocrity of zero-hours Britain with their uncompromising and aggressive, funny post-punk stream-of-rap-consciousness. The film is a mixture of live footage (they play a lot of pubs in unglamorous towns like Scunthorpe , with a laptop on a beer crate providing musical loops and riffs), and interviews ( Jason's dad calls him a w##ker, and his wife tells us about the "c#nt flu" Jason suffers for a week after returning home after touring, grumpy about being made to load the dishwasher). Their manager is an ex-bus-driver who secures them a double decker bus to film a music video, and we see them messing around on the top deck while the bus is being driven around Nottingham filming the video. There's loads of swearing which earned this unpretentious but exciting film an 18 certificate in the UK,and Iggy Pop calls them "the world's greatest rock 'n' roll band."
