Plot summary

Nicu, a homeless street kid, is adopted by the notorious 'Bruce Lee' and brought up in the subterranean tunnels of Bucharest. As he grows up, he begins to realise that this 'King of the Underworld' may not be the father that he needs. Filmed over five years by photographer Joost Vandebrug, the film is a real life Oliver Twist story about growing up, and finding a family.

Important and captivating portrait of streetkids living in

Important and captivating portrait of streetkids living in the sewers of Bucharest right before they got closed down. A documentary that feels like a movie because of its structure and clever storytelling. Although everything is 100% real and authentic. Not easy to accomplish. It took Vandebrug several years to make. Its the best documentary i have ever seen.

Yönetmen Jost Vandebrug sokak çocuklarından biri mi diye kontrol etmek zorunda kaldım. Çünkü çektiği belgeselde Romanya çingenelerinin sokakta, tünellerde yaşadığı süreci birkaç karakter üzerinden sarsıcı şekilde, içten resmediyor. Kapitalizmin yoksulların yakasına yapışan yüzünü görmek istemeyenlere iyi gelmeyeceği kesin.
