Plot summary

Rebelling against his dreary life in a small Arizona town, salesman Nick abandons his girlfriend, Beth, and strikes out onto the highway in search of... something else. Encouraged by her best friend, Carol, Beth reluctantly accepts the romantic attentions of Sid, a local housepainter.

Objects stay in motion unless affected by an outside force yet for Bridget Fonda, Phoebe Cates, Eric Stoltz, and Tim Roth they'll have to figure out how to handle it in a comedy about love and inertia Taking place in Arizona and based on the 1986 play the focus is on 4 people Nick wants to move with Carol But that doesn't work out so she ends up meeting a single house painter named Sid Beth and Sid might fall for each other too All their interests and lives start to change The music is so beautiful here and the actors are a good collective But so much of what happens is just very dialogue heavy Plus there's no real ending...

It wasn't really bad, it just wasn't anything

It wasn't really bad, it just wasn't anything too exciting or gripping... & honestly, I really only watched this because this was one of Phoebe Cates' last performances on film.
