Plot summary

When a newlywed American couple goes to India on their honeymoon, little do they realize that they are about to go on the adventure of a lifetime. A huge ruby from the time of the Indian Maharajas has been stolen and placed in the backpack of the Americans. When the bad guys realize this, they kidnap the wife... Now the husband and his Indian friend (played by a famous Tamil Indian actor) must go out to save her.

Not exactly a gem. Several groups hunt for a stolen ancient gemstone all over India. Comedic attempts have a mostly tarnishing effect. Highlight is watching megastar Rajinikanth's impressive trick of flipping cigarettes into his mouth.

Film starring Brett stimely and Rajinikanth even more

Film starring Brett stimely and Rajinikanth even more indian junior artists and shooting was done mainly in South India,a film yet need a good recognition in both Hollywood and kollywood. But due to its delayed release it's expectations were too lowered.A good classic for South Indian audiences and even with good plot and cast it failed to receive good response between Americans. Overall a great movie, especially if you've ever been to Tamil India! And even if you haven't, here's your chance to see what an American action movie can be like when filmed on the other side of the world! It's an exciting, ride-of-your-life horror-action-adventure-thriller movie that just completely blows all those other Indian (or in this case, Eastern) movies out of the park into the dust. Just hearing about this movie makes me want to watch Indian films more often! "Bloodstone" is one foreign film that must not be missed, especially if you are an Indian movie buff. I liked this movie from start...to finish!
