Plot summary

To avenge the brutal murder of his brother, Jake Ray journeys to the Philippines, where his search for truth finds him battling both in and out of the ring. But the weapons are always the same: bare fists, bare feet. And the rules never change: last man standing wins.

We have seen it so many times before

We have seen it so many times before. The older brother is murdered, so the younger brother seeks revenge. This time we see Don "The Dragon" Wilson as the younger sibling searching the mean streets of Manilla for his brothers killers, and in the process just happens to stumble across an illegal kickboxing tournament. A young Billy Blanks gives the finest performance from a black actor since Sidney Poitier in The Heat of the Night.
