This documents the real-life bond between a Scottish couple, Billy and Susan Mail and a wild otter named Molly on the remote Shetland Islands. The real-life footage and narrative were turned into a feature-length documentary by award-winning wildlife filmmaker Charlie Hamilton-James. This was a heartwarming, humorous and feel good watch, with a stunning back drop. The bond was captured beautifully and the hours of footage to adapt this document must have taken ages to edit, as obviously as anyone watching this would have know the couple didn't make this themselves and especially as Molly would disappear for days. Highly recommend ?

This film was so manipulative ! And I

This film was so manipulative ! And I can’t believe anyone who watched it and reviewed it can actually call it a documentary unless you really believe there was helicopter or at the very least a drone following Billy around all the time in order to get those spectacular aerial shots. This movie was clearly made by a director who realized (probably after watching my Octopus Friend ) there is a gold mine in these cheesy pseudo documentary films and just went for it, exploiting every trope, every cliche. And all while pontificating about the lines between beings blah blah blah. Skip it.

This was such a wholesome and calming watch. Otters are my favourite animal and watching Billy and Molly’s friendship grow was so heartwarming. I loved this watch and it’s an absolute must-see
