This film tells the story of a horror movie screenwriter who is writing a horror movie. It’s therefore a “mise en abîme” in which we see this screenwriter pondering his life, criticism, the difficulties of being creative, and so on. In short, the screenwriter was filming himself making this movie. We also see the character from his screenplay, who is a carbon copy of Jason Voorhees from Friday the 13th, that is, a child who was drowned and left for dead by mean friends, and who then takes revenge by becoming a serial killer. Basically, Friday the 13th meets “mise en abîme”.

Actually one of the most refreshing flicks I've seen in awhile. I highly recommend checking it out ! The cast are immediately likeable & relatable. The story unfolds like an Onion (in a good way) I'd like to see more of everyone from this one !

The poster isn't great. But the trailer looks much more promising.

I thought it was lots of fun actually
