Plot summary

When the professional killer started singing in French

When the professional killer started singing in French with piano accompaniment I was done. (42 minutes). The whole story is based on improbable coincidences and equally improbable intuition between a salaried mass murderer and a cop with literary ambitions. All the cliches are here. The cop is a widower who raises alone a young daughter. Drinks Lite beer but doesn’t smoke or has relations with women. The killer is sleek, always at the right place in the right time and can sense when the cab they are riding is going to explode. On Prime.

I was 9 when this movie came out

I was 9 when this movie came out & somehow I missed it. Fortunately Tubi came through! Dennehy’s character is infuriatingly obtuse, but his performance was on point. Woods delivers in spades and the story keeps you fully engaged the entire time, thanks primarily to their remarkable chemistry. I’m pretty sure it’s in the queue as a rewatchable movie, but we’ll see how it goes second time around.
