Plot summary

Bernard Bottle, a mild mannered art buyer, is fired by his greedy boss, abandoned by his girlfriend and discovers a genie in an old bottle. The genie immediately embraces the modern world and helps Bernard on the side.

Is this greatest Christmas film ever made? I think so! Lenny Henry is hilarious and Rowan Atkinson is a classic British bad guy. I watch this every Christmas, just totally feel good

Odd movie, but entertaining. It certainly is fascinating to see this movie that was released a year before Disney's Aladdin. Definitely worth watching.

This is one of my Favorite Films of all time. Very clever story & witty dialogue. Both Alan Cumming ( the put- upon protagonist) & Lenny Henry ( the Genie) have the wit / charm to carry a film on his/ their own. Then mix in a touch of Evil Rowan Atkinson( character).....( Some viewers might feel a bit restless while the motives / backstory of the characters are being revealed)
