Plot summary

The true story of Australia's cat-and-mouse underground mine warfare—one of the most misunderstood, misrepresented and mystifying conflicts of WW I. It was secret struggle BENEATH the Western Front that combined daring engineering, technology and science. Few on the surface knew of the brave, claustrophobic and sometimes barbaric work of these tunnellers.

Interessante racconto sulla prima guerra mondiale, sicuramente meno

Interessante racconto sulla prima guerra mondiale, sicuramente meno gettonata della seconda; dal punto di vista di un gruppo di soldati australiani esperti in escavazione ed addetti ad operare sotto le linee nemiche nella costruzione di tunnel sotterranei. Le vicende raccontano un avvenimento importante della guerra ma non molto conosciuto in quanto non spostò le sorti della battaglia. I personaggi sono ben definiti seppur non destano grande interesse; il finale è crudo e ad effetto.
