Plot summary

A young Army nurse, Lt Ruth McGara, newly assigned to the 8666th MASH during the Korean War, attracts the sexual attention of the unit's commander Dr. Jed Webbe. Major Webbe, who has a drinking problem, at first wants a "no strings" relationship. McGara is warned by the other nurses of Webbe's womanizing ways. Despite these initial handicaps, their love flourishes against a background of war, enemy attacks, death and injury. The relationship deepens and uplifts both characters.

One of Bogey's bogeys. The brooding love story

One of Bogey's bogeys. The brooding love story isn't as interesting as it might be, nor is the action around it, although for fans of the television series MASH this certainly holds some interest as the themes and location are the same.

Battle Circus is a disappointing film. It is

Battle Circus is a disappointing film. It is about the love story of a hard-bitten Army surgeon and a new nurse who ready to save the world. Humphrey Bogart and June Allyson give terrible performances. The screenplay is badly written. Richard Brooks did a horrible job directing this movie. I was not impressed with this motion picture.
