You gotta love it, sixty years on and

You gotta love it, sixty years on and the pure corny beauty of this piece of classic entertainment still gets a packed cinema sharing the laughs throughout and applauding as the credits rolled. For a person who saw this as a 12 year old in the cinema back in 1966 when it was first released, none of the magic has gone. Adam West and Burt Ward will always be my favourites. Nobody ever played Joker as well as Cesar Romero, and Burgess Meredith will forever be the Penguin. WOW! Kapow!

I absolutely see why people find this huge

I absolutely see why people find this huge, and at the time, I'm sure this was insane. But for me, I just have no words. I love superhero stuff, but like, this was all over the place. I found it pretty funny because of the corniness. But Adam West and Burt Ward were really fun in the role. That's about all I got.

Just as a Scream movie is a self

Just as a Scream movie is a self aware horror movie, Batman: The Movie is the self aware superhero movie. The movie follows the same style and vibe of the TV show, while not relying on the same formula. To make it even better, the stakes are raised by teaming up the 4 most prolific and fan favorite villains. Lee Meriwether fills in for Julie Newmar as Catwoman and does such a great job that its hard to notice she's been replaced. Joker and Riddler are their same comedic selves and Penguin is a threat not to be taken lightly. The Bat-boat, Bat-cycle and Bat-copter work as campy set pieces and the Bruce Wayne/Ms. Kitka subplot makes it truly feel like a quintessential 60s classic. The flaws? Robin: the Boy Wonder is incredibly under utilized in comparison to the TV series and for it's longer runtime, there are only a few brief fight scenes, which are part of what made the series so iconic. This can be overlooked by the campy and tongue in cheek humor and action of the 5 ⭐️ classic.
