This was a pretty solid movie while I’ve watched every single Batman solo thing of the dcau (outside of the beyond series itself) this makes me want to go and watch the show because of how good it was and how the story is overall

I was never the biggest fan of the

I was never the biggest fan of the Batman Beyond show, but Return of the Joker is pretty much exactly what I wanted it to be. It feels way more connected to the original animated series, with that darker tone, the iconic soundtrack, and the same voice cast bringing everything together. The story digs into what actually happened to the Joker, which was easily the most interesting part, and there’s some really strong, memorable sequences throughout. It also does a solid job expanding the world and making it feel meaningful. That said, I already knew the big twist going in, and I think that dulled the impact quite a bit. Still, it’s a strong 3.5/5 for me.
