Plot summary

On October 1, 2013, the elusive street artist Banksy launched a month-long residency in New York, an art show he called Better Out Than In. As one new work of art was presented each day in a secret location, a group of fans, called “Banksy Hunters,” took to the streets and blew up social media.

This is a pretty thorough recounting of Banksy's New York residency, and you get to see all the art and all the reactions but it felt somewhat shallow and maybe a little too breezy.

As a big Banksy-fan I was glad when

As a big Banksy-fan I was glad when I stumbled over this. I have seen "Exit Through The Gift Shop" - an all right film that Mister Brainwash kind of take to much focus in. This is more about the main man, but he had nothing to with this film. He does a piece in New York every day for a month. Some with cans on walls, others in trucks or even bricks. People go mad on social media and people hunt after his pieces everyday. This is well captured by tweets, short videos and stuff from his own website. Some experts talk about him and some "hunters" get's a fair bit of screentime. I like the idea and some pieces are superb. He is one of the most creative artists of this era, and that mysteriousness and graff-ish style is killer for me. A nice little tribute to 5pointz too. OK as a documentary product, interesting, but not bringing much new to the table accept new works. That's not an easy thing, though. 7 out of 10 walls.

It was one of the best documentaries i have ever watched. It swings you with the surprising reaction of Banksy's audience and his portrayal of street art and social issues. It expands your mind, it changes the way we observe graffiti's, street art and social issues. This quote from the movie is my favorite "Don't we want to live in a world made up of art, not just decorated by it?"
