I died and gone to heaven
Masterpiece. The long, proper goodbye at the end is pure Ozu, pure Japanese. Setsuko Hara sparkles. Unforgettable film. I've been to upper Kamakura where some of the exteriors were shot. Kamakura is one of my favorite cities in Japan. No surprise Ozu loved to film there.
