Btw, we won't be living on Mars any time soon, do you realize how utterly uninhabitable Mars is? We are no where near being able to be there. We need to clean our own room before trying to move somewhere else.

The nuclear industry is really poring a lot of money into the propaganda machine. This shows the problem when you separate climate change from the larger issue of environmental degradation- what's not addressed is the source of fuel, were is that fuel processed and what do you do with the waste- and no. none of the designs are waste free. My personal issue is that I live near a town that was the site of a uranium mine- it's a mess (astronomical cancer rates among other issues) and will continue to be for centuries to come. So, no, this is not the answer. They go on about how rare the accidents are as if that's the only issue, it's a straw man.

Cheaper flights to Mars and a decent accommodation for people to live on Mars is what they should be concentrating on.
