Plot summary

Over the course of ten days and 435 miles, an unbreakable bond is forged between pro adventure racer Michael Light and a scrappy street dog companion dubbed Arthur. As the team is pushed to their outer limits of endurance in the race, Arthur redefines what victory, loyalty and friendship truly mean.

Arthur the King was just downright great. As

Arthur the King was just downright great. As a dog lover, this movie hit me right in the heart. From the moment Arthur became part of the journey, I found myself emotionally invested in what happened to him. There were several scenes that were tough to watch, especially when it seemed like they might have to euthanize Arthur. I got genuinely emotional. Even earlier in the film, when they had to leave him behind during the race, I felt awful for him. The airport scenes were emotional too, because by that point Arthur felt like more than just a dog in a movie—he felt like a member of the team and a true friend. What makes this film so special is that it isn't just about adventure or competition. It's about loyalty, perseverance, friendship, and the incredible bond that can form between humans and animals. Arthur steals every scene he's in, and it's impossible not to root for him. As a dog lover, this movie hit me right in the feels. Great story, great dog, and a movie I'll watch again
