A 90s rock band with a hit or two travels to a Cheateau in France to isolate themselves and record under the tutelage of producing guru, Charlie (Charlie Saxton). The band doesn’t seem to have any money or recent success, so it’s odd the label (which then just drops them during the trip?) would pay for such a maneuver. As expected, lead singer, Ryan (Ryan Donowho. Yes, that’s his real name), becomes haunted by ex-band member, Miles (Rob Raco) and the other band members (Tim Jo, James Earl, Allie MacDonald, David Valdes). *Here Be Spoilers* The “it’s all in his head” trope has been done 10,000 times before and with much greater effect. Even by the end, we don’t understand why Miles is haunting Ryan. He simply leaves the band to pursue a solo career. Moreover, why exactly is Charlie so special? We probably could’ve used a hit or video or something he masterminded as a frame of reference. The horror elements don’t really make sense and the ending leaves you dumbfounded. The concept had a lot of promise, but this movie just isn’t very good.

I particularly love horror movies with psychological suspense, but this one didn't appeal to me at all. It started off strangely, and by the end it felt like it was back at the beginning. Definitely bad.
