Plot summary

ARRANGED centers on the friendship between an Orthodox Jewish woman and a Muslim woman who meet as first-year teachers at a public school in Brooklyn. Over the course of the year they learn they share much in common - not least of which is that they are both going through the process of arranged marriages.

This is an exceptional movie with feminist subversion of Arranged marriage stereotypes. The main characters are educated women educators and I loved it.

I really enjoyed this film! Funny, sweet and

I really enjoyed this film! Funny, sweet and respectful of religious faith. At times some of the lines seemed contrived, I sincerely hope that a school administrator wouldn’t be so disrespectful of orthodox religion, but it still seems very grounded in realism. Good acting.
