Plot summary

Angelo is a ten-year-old who dreams of becoming an explorer and a zoologist. When he goes to visit his granny, his parents leave him behind at a rest stop, and he decides to cut through the forest in search of them.

Weird but silly film

My kids and I weren't sure what to watch and ended up watching this film. Its a bit all over the place and quite a bizarre film but made my children laugh a lot. If you want to spend 90 minutes confused but amused I'd recommend it, if not avoid. Watched with 8 and 12 year old boys. If you watch it you'll remember it.

A visually interesting film with a great story about the relationships in the family. Not giving anything away but anyone with siblings will see themselves in this. I loved the different styles of animation used and how they showed the 'real' world and the main characters imagined adventures. I don't know what but the sound is echoing and only muffled. This makes a good film slightly harder to watch as you sometimes miss what people are saying due to this.

A charming little movie.

This is what i have always loved about animation movies, building an imaginary world make your own stories. Just like little Angelo. No elder to make u feel u shouldn't exist, no forcefully wrong cultural representation, no depressing death. Instead it's just a story of a boy who gets left behind mistakenly and tries to find his way back to his beloved grandma through many adventures.Loved the animation style. Loved the colours, loved the voice acting and interesting characters. The pacing could have been a better during the third act but other than that, thoroughly enjoyed the imaginary world of Angelo The Adventurer.
