Magnificently acted. A tour de force by Daniel Day Lewis, accompanied by Sean Bean. 10/10 for the acting but the film has little to offer besides that. It's so slow, it gives slow burn films a bad name. The peripherals around the 2 stars don't always make sense or are given short shrift. For Daniel Day Lewis fans only. 5/10

I usually don't have any issues with slow burning artsy movies, but this one was shockingly empty and bad. Nothing happens and when you hope something will happen, it doesn't.

WASTE OF TIME

If you watch the first 30 minutes you will understand what the rest of the movie is. It doesn't get any better and there is no pay off for your patience. Daniel Day-Lewis gives a good performance but the writing and directing of his handful of monologues is mediocre. This movie isn't "Boring but meaningful and Thought provoking" its actually fairly straightforward while also being quite boring. Its actually pretty bad. 3/10

I wanted to like it because of Daniel Day-Lewis and Sean Bean... This is a (very) slow burn drama, if you are into Drama's. The story line was good, but too slow for me. 4/10
