Plot summary

In 1960s England, Blake Cunningham and his alcoholic mother are forced to move into the mysterious Clemonte Hall, a vast isolated manor house, to care for his dying Grandfather who resides in the attic room. Soon, ghostly goings-on fill the house with dread, as it becomes apparent Grandfather's illness may have a supernatural cause that can only be cured by uncovering the terrifying secrets of the house and its dark history.

An English Haunting is a truly awful movie. The acting is so poor from each actor on the set. The ‘ghostly' events that occur frequently throughout this pathetic film are so ‘telegraphed' that they can be anticipated. The plot is poor too. Everything about this film is poor. Obviously low budget, I have seen better acting in school performances. If I had paid to sit through this film I would have felt cheated out of the entry fee. Don't bother to watch this movie unless you do so purely to have a laugh. Don't say I didn't warn you. Ha ha.

The one plus point is that it is

The one plus point is that it is very well shot in places. Other than that, the script is appalling, the 'acting' is laughable and there isn't a single new idea in the whole 90 minutes. Avoid.
