Awful

Probably the worst film I've ever seen. A complete waste of time. The so-called romance story line is ridiculous, the acting is absolutely horrible, and there is no message at all that I could discern. It's outrageous that this trash was even considered for a film festival. The Canadian film industry should be ashamed of itself.

Good weird

The stand-out aspect of this nuanced romantic comedy (with a touch of drama) is its being REALLY unpredictable, which I found extremely enjoyable. The main character is a 40-something Adam who owns a kennel in the mountains in Quebec, who suffers from eco-anxiety and who wears his heart on his sleeve. The plot twists and turns in the twinkling of an eye; in many ways it sounds irrational and weird (just like our real life sometimes), however, the characters are sweet, sincere and beautiful. The whole film is electrifyingly gripping, unconventional, funny and just very well made. I enjoyed every minute. Bravo!

Disjointed, flat, poor script. A story about regression from adulthood to adolescence, but not in a poetic or articulate way, with a touch of middle class climate pretentiousness.If one can remove a scene and the story/plot still works i.e. No interesting or important info was conveyed, then the scene is largely redundant - there were many of these, as well as redundant charachters that were not developed.
