Plot summary

When Andrew Sterling, a successful black urbanite writer, buys a vacation home on a resort in New England the police mistake him for a burglar. After surrounding his home with armed men, Chief Tolliver realizes his mistake and to avoid the bad publicity offers a thief in his jail, Amos Odell a deal.

I really enjoyed the fact that a movie

I really enjoyed the fact that a movie from 1993 is so relevant in 2025. It points out the stupidity of the racial divide, that in 2025 is only getting wider by the refusal of so many to accept the truth and speak the truth. It may be a little corny, but it does show we are all human and the police are never to be believed or trusted to prioritise the citizens before themselves.
