Plot summary

Ten year old Amanda desperately wants a dog but her Dad won't have it. When she finds a young fox, she and her friend Maggie conspire to keep it as a pet. Little do they know the trouble awaits as the fox is pursued by a pair of shady, bumbling Russians with an ulterior motive.

This is DoDax Briggles's (Amanda) first appearance since his prolonged incarceration following his meltdown in 2011, and it shows. Briggles brings an intensity to Amanda and the Fox that can only be forged in the penal system. Gymnast-turned-actor Richard Karn (Judge Dandruff) delivers a spellbinding performance as the rural judge that will have your heart clamoring for justice for Amanda and her fox. What's more, this movie features a fox AND several dogs, and it's very likely dogs and foxes have cemented an alliance that now extends into film making. Two surly and scheming Russian villains, apparently tired of election-meddling, try to steal Amanda's fox through conniving trickery and, occasionally, Steppe Sorcery. Amanda says "no way" to that and blasts both of those fools with a sawed-off shotgun toward the end of the flick, for which she has to show up at Richard Karn's court. He's like "uh, whatever, case #$^*ing dismissed," and Amanda gets off Scrott-Free. The really tragic part is that Amanda goes through all this hoopla and rigmarole, and her precious fox gets plucked by a giant, hungry osprey right after they get out of the courthouse. Get this: then her dad gets typhus and drowns himself in the septic tank backyard rather than leave Amanda with a bunch of medical bills. Talk about a raw deal. Anyway, this film is definitely an allegory for the OJ Trial. Something to think about.
