Plot summary

An emotionally challenged young man named Bobby runs away from home in order to escape his abusive stepfather who has killed his pets. He meets an old man, Mr. Summers, who spends his time traveling and giving burials to animals that have been killed by cars. Bobby, also having an affinity for animals, becomes friends with the old man and aids him in his task.

A different kind of a movie. I was scrolling through movies, at first, 2 movies after, wait a minute, was that Christian Bale, he was so young, my brain didn't register and I went back. Very good movie. Bale never disappoints.

Interesting allegory, too heavy handed on the good

Interesting allegory, too heavy handed on the good vs. evil front, but performances, especially by a young Christian Bale, are good.
