Plot summary

During WWII, industrialist Joe Keller commits a crime and frames his business partner Herbert Deever. Years later, his sin comes back to haunt him when his son plans to marry Deever's daughter.

A very effective adaptation of Arthur Miller's play

A very effective adaptation of Arthur Miller's play; in some ways superior in pace and flow to the stage production while still evoking the playwright's intended range of human emotions. A good cast helps, with a particularly memorable performance by Edward G. Robinson as the mis-guided, all-too-human antagonist. A drama that's well worth your time.

Edward G. makes a good story great. Too fantastic, too incredible to be a true story but representative of a the comprises that were made in war production and inevitable human cost on the battlefield and at home.
