During its return to the earth, commercial spaceship Nostromo intercepts a distress signal from a distant planet. When a three-member team of the crew discovers a chamber containing thousands of eggs on the planet, a creature inside one of the eggs attacks an explorer. The entire crew is unaware of the impending nightmare set to descend upon them when the alien parasite planted inside its unfortunate host is birthed.
Great film that doesn't need much review. Great atmosphere. Along with the more action focused and less horror oriented sequel Aliens, its a movie everyone should see at least once. Everything after the sequel is a mixed bag but if you like the first 2, probably worth watching. This movie stands well on its own
Timeless film. The atmosphere, the set design, sound design, acting, and most of all directing is brilliant. The sequels kinda muddled the mystery of this movie but it still stays the ultimate tale of survival
The 1080p with stereo sound is the Original Theatrical Release & is not the Remastered Theatrical Release. The director calls the theatrical release "pretty flawless"
i saw this just a few days ago, I FELT AS THOUGH I WAS WATCHING PITCH BLACK, WHEN IT FIRST CAME OUT, BUT BETTER. I COULD HAVE WATCHED THE ENTIRE MOVIE EVEN IF THE XENOMORPH DIDNT MAKE A SINGLE APPEARANCE, THE ATTENTION TO DETAIL IS INSANE FOR A MOVIE MADE SO LONG AGO, IT IS BETTER THAN A DOZENS OF MOVIES STILL BEING MADE TODAY!
10/10
Saw this when it first came out.... I was 13. Snuck in the theater with friends. Our minds were blown. Would love to see it again for the 1st time all over. What an experience.
