So ok, look, this is no hit by any means. This really is a bad movie in the short answer; however, it is an ok background movie. You can tell they used the Skeleton Key movie as inspiration to the story, which is apparent from the start, sorry if I just spoiled anything for anyone saying that. If you go into this with the mindset, it will not be the next big horror hit, the actors will be less than good but tolerable for a portion of it, and the story is nothing spectacular and no where as good as the inspiration it was made from, then you may find a way to tolerate it for a full watch. The plus side of the movie from my perspective was, it is not a group of people going to some unknown place in the middle of nowhere, or some kids that are at a party that decide to do something stupid, and no gore which I am happy about since I am no gore fan. This is probably why it sort of appealed to me. Also, I know that some people are confused about the plot or ending, so I would say, if you have not seen Skeleton Key, one, who are you even, and two, check it out. It is one of the best in the Southern Gothic supernatural horror category.

I tell ya.. Written By and Directed By the same (unknown) name is typically a precursor to a film worthy of 4 stars at best. If you then also throw in Starring with the same (unknown) name.. you can most often drop another star or two. And, ermmmm .... who names their child "Anubys?"

the skeleton key is good

10/10...really? When are they going to stop putting up false scores.
