Plot summary
A White enclave in Johannesburg, South Africa, in the 1960s. Molly Roth, 13 years old, is the daughter of leftist parents, and she must piece together what's happening around her when her father disappears one night, barely evading arrest, and, not long after, her mother is detained by the authorities. Some of Molly's White friends turn against her, and her family's friendships with Blacks take on new meaning. Relationships are fragile in the world of apartheid. How will she manage?

A very biased, inaccurate film with a far left tilt. Read the boo "Into the Cannibals' s Pot" by Ilana Mercer, if you want some facts
I live here in South Africa. As a 55yr old white male. Hardly knew what apartheid meant,but many years later when playing Call of Duty MW and reading the in game quotes made me realize that while politicians battle it out behind a desk with top notch VIP bodyguards and panic rooms and getaway helicopter's we the people see the brutality on the ground just outside the parliament buildings. Nobody realy fights for queen and country or just country and its people soldiers do not fight to protect their families at home. What anybody fights for now is what the president says you should fight for its his war many die in the war and yet after the war the president does not even have a scratch on his body.
A good film with a young but already extremely talented Jodhi May.
