Watch this if: You're a fan of classic

Watch this if: You're a fan of classic cinema, silent films, and the inimitable Charlie Chaplin. In a departure from his usual work, Charlie Chaplin directs a sad but rather satisfying silent drama about a tragic romance, following a woman (Edna Purviance) who is torn between two lovers. It is a compelling work from one of cinema's greatest directors, who also composed the wonderful score. While at times the pacing is a little slow, it is still engaging, and finishes in what we consider to be one of the best endings of a film by Chaplin. Shout out to the gorgeous Adolphe Menjou and his fabulous moustache!
