I was a teenager when the Waltons first came on TV in '72.But this is just wrong in so many aspects. It's like an alternate universe mixing the modern with the 1930's.Needless to say it would have been impossible to re-create the original characters, given that some have long passed away (Will Geer in 1978).If you like hearing familiar names, great, but overall this movie is totally unnecessary.
