Plot summary

Dodie is a hopeless romantic just like the pieces in her vintage antique shop. When Dodie finds a hidden box full of romantic trinkets, she makes it her mission to deliver it to its rightful owner. Following the address, she manages to persuade the handsome but reluctant new tenant, Edward, to help her with her search.

A Very Vintage Christmas was never expected to be a grand holiday epic—its sights were set squarely on the familiar comforts of Lifetime’s syrupy, trope-laden seasonal stories. Yet somehow, the film still manages to slip beneath its already modest expectations. The mystery of Ginger and Carl, meant to supply the story’s emotional spark, proves disappointingly dim. The imagined backstory for these "long-lost lovers" ends up far more enchanting than the film’s own underwhelming reveal. And the notion that two people could inhabit the same tiny town for decades without crossing paths strains the very premise the film hinges on, undermining the idea that they were ever truly "lost" to begin with. In the end, it’s a holiday tale that somehow misses the low bar it set for itself.

Who the hell is this movie for?? Not

Who the hell is this movie for?? Not adults with an IQ and there's nothing in it to attract kids. So what gives?! It's my own fault for watching, I get it. Tia Mowry should stick to the Disney channel and "Ed" needs some serious acting classes. It's not just about that winning smile, Ed! OY VEY.
