Plot summary

Libby, an up-and-coming baker, has opened up her storefront business just in time for the Christmas season. Trying to get everything off the ground, she finds herself in a heated anonymous online feud with Peter, an A-List actor, after (hiding his real identity) he gives the bakery a scathing review. At the same time, in real life, Libby takes on a game-changing side-gig: catering cake and confections for Peter’s brother’s high profile holiday engagement party. Neither realize they’re already in a fight with each other.

Everything about this movie felt stiff. Both leads didn’t seem to have much chemistry. Was looking forward to this as it was filmed in my town. But definitely wouldn’t bother.

Just because a movie is set in December

Just because a movie is set in December, that doesn’t make it a Christmas movie. And this one just needs to be skipped all together. My wife and I love watching a different Christmas movie every night in December. So bad, brother of main character is not a good actor at all! How many times is the word Christmas used anyway?

I love a good cheesy Christmas movie, but

I love a good cheesy Christmas movie, but this one was pretty darned bad. The main male character is a movie star, and the actor gives off none of the charm or charisma of a movie star. (Not a bad actor, just terribly miscast.) The premise isn't terrible, but the script is weak and clunky. There's an "ah-ha" moment where one of the supporting characters "Figures Out What Is Going On," and it falls so flat. Just skip this movie.
