I recently decided to check out "A Merry Scottish Christmas," a Hallmark film featuring Scott Wolfe and Lacey Chabert. Overall, it was an average watch. While it wasn't a terrible film by any means, it fell into the familiar Hallmark formula. The twist involving a royal lineage was intriguing and added a nice touch, but the storyline felt predictable with a standard setup, progression, and conclusion that didn’t venture far beyond the norm. Though it was somewhat more enjoyable than other Hallmark offerings, it still struggled to maintain excitement. There were moments where I found myself engaged, but ultimately, the film didn’t deliver the emotional payoff I had hoped for by the end.

Scott and Lacey have real-life sibling chemistry that I believed from the get go. But the love interest between the Scottish guy and her? Nothing there. Chabert looked like she was forcing even a smile and the kisses? Like she knew he had a cold sore or something. And "Brad’s" (Scott W wife). She looked anemic and acted bipolar. The bagpipes though. I had to mute when those dang things started up. So annoying and loud. Bagpipes aren’t supposed to be like trumpets. Just a sad strange movie.

Another wonderful movie with Lacey Chabert. Her Hallmark movies make me feel like a kid again. Loved the story and characters. Tim Treakle
