Plot summary

When her father enlists to fight for the British in WWI, young Sara Crewe goes to New York to attend the same boarding school her late mother attended. She soon clashes with the severe headmistress, Miss Minchin, who attempts to stifle Sara's creativity and sense of self-worth.

This film has been a lifelong favorite movie of mine. Visually striking, great acting, incredible story with a powerful ending. I loved it as a child in the 90s and at 34 years of age, it is still one of the best movies I have ever seen. ♡ I recommend it all the time. 10/10
