Fantastic adaptation from the novel. Movie has excitement, wonderful character development, suspense, and a happily ever after ending. I love re-watching this movie over and over — it’s one of those movies that can calm you after a hard day but is so entertaining. Helena BonhamCarter is such a beauty. I watch it at least once a week.

This deserves an award for one of the worst movies ever made. It's embarrassing to see great actors like Diana Riggs, Helena Bonham Carter, Christopher Plummer, and Edward Fox in this turkey. The story is ludicrous, the direction is amateurish, the acting is stilted. It's worth seeing just to make fun of.
