More of a Lifetime-style thriller than a gripping

More of a Lifetime-style thriller than a gripping Stephen King adaptation, A Good Marriage feels watered down despite its disturbing BTK-inspired premise. Anthony LaPaglia never fully convinced as the secretive husband, and the performance lacks the depth needed to make the character truly unsettling. Joan Allen does her best with the material as the shocked wife, though the story unfolds in a very predictable, made-for-TV way. Stephen Lang is decent as the investigator, but overall the movie plays it safe, lacking real tension or depth and ending up as a fairly forgettable, middle-of-the-road thriller.

An incredibly gripping movie. Good acting and of

An incredibly gripping movie. Good acting and of course a great story from Stephen King. If you’re a woman over a certain age who loves horror, this movie is for you. If you’re a young man like all the other reviewers it’s probably not for you.
