Fantastic movie. I enjoyed the struggle that a survivor must endure and the eventual sharing of heaven that he experienced. Thought provoking and joyful.

It was okay. Makes me wonder even more

It was okay. Makes me wonder even more if heaven/hell are real. As if it already doesn’t keep my up at night lmao. The breakdown in the McDonalds drive through had me rolling ?. “Sorry. That’s not on the menu..”

Please read the books by Don Piper instead. To be honest, I couldn’t even get through the whole movie. I watched as long as I could and then I fast forwarded to the Heaven part and it was an absolutely abysmal representation of what is described in the books. After reading the books I was absolutely thrilled about the prospect of going to Heaven but the movie’s representation was about as bad as it could get. Also, I love Hayden Christensen but that was not a good role for him. For one, I know this area of Texas very well and I have no idea what kind of an accent he was trying for but it definitely wasn’t East Texas. Maybe more of a Savannah dialect? Not sure but it was painful to listen to and the slow drawl is not normal here. Also, they make the character so one dimensional. I’m not sure if it was the dialogue or if Christensen didn’t believe what he was portraying but it felt inauthentic. I also felt like the movie was in slow motion and it was just cringey. I’m sorry. After reading the Don Piper books, I wanted to see a visual representation of what I read but I would say that if this is why you’re watching the movie, don’t bother. Keep it in your imagination instead.
